Growing Cities Trailer ~ a Film about Urban Gardening in America
In their search for answers, filmmakers Dan Susman and Andrew Monbouquette take a road trip and meet the men and women who are challenging the way this country grows and distributes its food, one vacant city lot, rooftop garden, and backyard chicken coop at a time.
Join them as they discover that good food isn’t the only crop these urban visionaries are harvesting. They’re producing stronger and more vibrant communities, too.
The film is being released in Fall 2013 at film festivals and special event screenings. You’re invited to follow, participate in, and support the Growing Cities journey to an America that believes in a more sustainable, just, and healthy future for all.

This is such a pleasure to watch and (maybe just because I am getting older and everyone else suddenly looks young!) but it is really, really nice to see so many young people involved in these movements, activities and lifestyles.

i agree, this is truly a blessing in community building towards self sustaining status 🙂 they are doing it in New Orleans also in the parishes that were abandoned in the relief effort for the more “elite” neighborhoods damaged by Katrina. The Mayor was actually indicted i am not sure if the charges stuck or he got off …

I keep waiting for this teasing weather to turn on us and blast us with one good storm but so far, everything is staying well clear of here…nice to have good temps, not so nice to have had no precipitation here again this winter.
