Daikon means “radish” in Japanese. This unusual radish will add intrigue to any garden and delicious taste to any table. Mild-flavored, Daikon Radish  is used in many Asian cuisines, in salads, shredded or pickled and served as garnish with Sashimi. Great keeping qualities, the roots which are 46 to 61cm long can be stored for weeks. It is   pure white and slightly tapered, the flesh is very crispy and tender with mild pungency. Can also be used in cooking & many recipes are available on the net. Sow Spring or Autumn.

  1. YUM love daikon. I just bought some seed and am going to grow some in the new veggie garden along with some French radishes and some black radishes. I love a nice quick crop that delivers bonus top and bottom food 🙂

    • That is it…BARGAIN 😀 and bloody good tucker…Great for cleansing the digestive system, bowels and immune system. 😉
      I saw about 6 seeds every 2 to 3 weeks.

      • I need to sow a few more than that because my daughter could eat radishes for the Olympics (and win!) so I need to keep her in the manner to which she has become accustomed 😉
