  1. Every gardener’s choice …Even I ( The lazy type ), keep the white/cream variety on my front lawn on western fence as border line 😀

    • they are so pretty but i have had to plant every year in this region, even ones that are so called perennials. if we don’t get much snow and it gets really cold the plants will heave right out of ground.

      • REALLY ??My variety is so hardy, guess am lucky..I am so rough with them, example, when the flowers dry off, I broke the branches hard down to the ground….If I want to plant some, ( Which I don’t, I have just enough ), all I do is brake few branches and shove them in the ground…The next year I have enough to cut for the vase 😀

      • i have no idea but this year am planting them earlier, maybe that is issue the roots have not had time to establish before cold, we will see.

  2. I was surprised to find a pot of crysanthamums on my non gardening daughters window sill. After asking her what she was doing with an obviously purchased pot of cryssies she said “I am using the leaves in my Korean dishes”. Obviously there are uses for crysanthamums I never entertained before! 😉
