Field trials of genetically-modified (GM) Bt eggplant, also known as Bt talong, have officially ceased in the Philippines following a major ruling by the nation’s Court of Appeals. Representing a massive victory for food sovereignty, the Court found that Bt talong is a monumental threat to both environmental and human health, and has subsequently ordered that all existing plantings of Bt talong in test fields be immediately destroyed and blocked from further propagation.

Like in many other nations across the globe, the biotechnology industry has been craftily trying to sneak its genetic poisons into the Philippines under the guise of improving crop yields, reducing chemical use, and yada yada ad nauseum – all the typical industry propaganda and lies used to convince the more gullible among us that GMOs are some kind of food production miracle.     Thank you for reblogging this on your site. I wish Americans really understood the damage they are doing to their bodies by consuming genetically modified garbage, and the amount of danger they are placing their future generations in by allowing genetically modified foods to take the place of natural foods. We’re slaughtering ourselves for the sake of satisfying cravings that we never should have experienced in the first place. We need to eat the diet that God intended for mankind and stop trying to usurp His authority by creating something we think is so much better. If it was better, God would have put it into the Garden of Eden and taught Adam and Eve how to cultivate it.

  2. Yet, another small battle against the Monsanto’s EVIL POISON FOOD ….Hula Philippinas 😀
    Today I went to shop at ALDI STORE some 50 km away….I usually buy a tin of pork ham for rainy days, which is an product of Germany.
    Today I read it as being Product of USA….I put it back on shelve ….Sowy sowy folks, NO USA PIG FEED ON G.M.O. or ANY SHIT POISON for ME…. 😀

    • you know it raise your own meat or find a local farmer who still feed their livestock properly and split a pig with your friend.

    • i bought two runt piglets at farm auction for ten usd each, took them to friends farm we split cost and finished product. i love pork lol, sorry piggies
